Free Kindergarten / Foundation CVC Word Families: -at, -an, -ig, -op, -ug Worksheet

Word families are groups of words that end the same way, like cat, hat and bat. In this phonics worksheet children spot the word that belongs to each family (-at, -an, -ig, -op and -ug), then add a first letter to make a word that matches a simple clue. Once a child can read one word in a family, they can read many more by changing just the first sound.
