Part A — Add -s
When there is more than one, we usually add -s to the end of the noun. Write the plural.

Part B — One or more?
Circle the correct word.

Answer: birds
The -s on the end tells us there is more than one bird.
- Apen

Answer: pens
Two means more than one, so we need 'pens'.

Answer: cat
One means just a single cat.
- Acups
- Bcup
Answer: cup
'Cup' has no -s, so it means one.
Part C — Add -es
When a noun ends in s, x, sh or ch, we add -es. Write the plural.
Answer: buses
Bus ends in s, so we add -es.
Answer: boxes
Box ends in x, so we add -es.
Answer: dishes
Dish ends in sh, so we add -es.
Answer: benches
Bench ends in ch, so we add -es.
