Free Year 1 Compound Words: Sun + Flower = Sunflower Worksheet

A compound word is made when two small words join together to make one new word, like rain + bow = rainbow. Children put word pairs together, spot the compound word in a list and split compound words back into their two parts. Finding the small words inside a long word makes it much easier to read and spell.
