Spelling List 1: Adding -ing and -ed — Answers
Part A — Your words
We add -ing and -ed to the end of doing words. Watch for two rules: if a short word ends in one vowel and one consonant, double the last letter (run → running, hop → hopped). If a word ends in e, drop the e before adding -ing or -ed (bake → baking, smile → smiled).
