When c is followed by e, i or y, it usually makes a soft 's' sound (city, circle, cycle). When g is followed by e, i or y, it often makes a soft 'j' sound (giant, gentle). After a short vowel, the 'j' sound at the end of a word is spelt -dge (bridge). Write each word three times.
