1.Find the distance between (4, 1) and (−1, 7), correct to 1 decimal place.

Answer: 7.8

2.Find the midpoint of the segment joining (6, 0) and (7, 9).

Answer: (6.5, 4.5)

  1. x: (6 + 7) ÷ 2 = 6.5

3.Find the midpoint of the segment joining (6, −9) and (−5, −1).

Answer: (0.5, −5)
