Spelling List 5: Commonly Misspelled Words — Answers
Part A: Your words
These words are often misspelled. In American English, practice and license are spelled the same whether they are nouns or verbs (soccer practice; I practice every day). Defense and offense end in -se, and gray is spelled with an a. Words like travel, cancel and label keep one l when you add -ed (traveled, canceled, labeled). Jewelry has three syllables (jew-el-ry), judgment has no e after the g, and skillful and enroll keep a double l. Write each word three times and circle the tricky part.

- Celebrate what went well first, then pick one thing to work on next.
