Spelling List 1: -able and -ible — Answers
Part A — Your words
Both -able and -ible mean 'can be' (readable = can be read). A good rule of thumb: if you remove the ending and a complete word is left, it is usually -able (enjoy → enjoyable, reason → reasonable). If what is left is not a word, it is usually -ible (poss → possible, terr → terrible). There are exceptions, so learn the words on this list carefully.
