Free Year 6 Mathematics Worksheets

9 free mathematics resources for Year 6, organised by topic with answer sheets, study guides and topic tests.

Maths builds in layers: counting leads to place value, place value to addition and subtraction, those to multiplication, division, fractions and then algebra. When a student struggles, the cause is often a gap one or two layers down. Our worksheets are organised by topic and level so you can step back to the layer that needs attention, then move forward with confidence.

Common questions

Are the answers checked?

Yes. Maths worksheets are generated by checked procedures, so every answer is computed rather than typed by hand, and each answer sheet shows the working.

Which level should my child start on?

Start on Level 2 (the expected standard for the year). If they find it hard, drop to Level 1; if it's easy, try Level 3 or the next year level.

Can I print these for a class?

Yes — all resources are free to print and share for personal, classroom and homeschool use.

How to use these resources

  1. Start with the Level 1 worksheet for the topic — if it's easy, move up a level.
  2. Use the answer sheet's working, not just the final answer, to check the method.
  3. Finish a topic with the topic test to see whether the skill is secure.
  4. Two or three short sessions a week beat one long one.
