Free 3rd Grade How-To Writing: Steps and Sequence Words Worksheet

A 3rd grade procedural writing worksheet. Students read a model how-to text for making a pinecone bird feeder and find its parts: a title that tells the goal, a list of materials, numbered steps that begin with action verbs, and sequence words such as first, next, then, after that, and finally. They put steps in order, add sequence words, make a vague step clear, and write how-to steps for something they know how to do.
