Free 6th Grade Combining Sentences for Flow Worksheet

Students learn four ways to combine short, choppy sentences into smoother ones: sharing a subject or verb, adding an appositive (a noun phrase that renames a noun), opening with an -ing phrase and joining ideas with a conjunction such as although, until or unless. They combine sentence pairs and then rewrite a choppy paragraph so it flows.
