Free 3rd Grade Quotation Marks in Dialogue and Possessive Apostrophes Worksheet

Students learn to punctuate what people say the American way: double quotation marks around the spoken words, a capital letter to start the speech, and the comma, period, question mark, or exclamation point inside the closing quotation mark. They also use apostrophes to show who owns something (the dog's bone, the girls' hats). They choose correct sentences, add quotation marks, write possessives, and write a short conversation.
